Since Jon Sallee took office in 2011 he has had Dru Parsons by his side assisting in the management of the Detention Center. Dru began his career in public service when he enlisted in the Kentucky National Guard in 2001 and he served our country in that capacity until 2008. During that time he served tours in Bosnia and Operation Iraqi Freedom III. In 2004 he worked in conjunction with the Kentucky National Guard, Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Department of Forestry and several other law enforcement agencies in "Operation Joint Support" which was an effort to eradicate marijuana in Eastern Kentucky. Dru also worked as a Deputy Jailer with the Jessamine County Detention Center from 2003-2006 and a Deputy with the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office from 2006-2011. Dru has used his corrections, law enforcement and military experience to assist in the management of the Detention Center.
